My re-entry into networking came in through the side door , I was actually shopping for an upright freezer !! On a side bar I read "Earn money doing Paid surveys . I had been doing surveys for a while just for fun, so I clicked on the link . then it said make serious money on line through this company . I talked to Doug and said I know I can make this work ( we had dabbled in Network Marketing off and on over the years )
I was familiar with networking , or so I thought. I knew the promise . I knew I could build a business and eventually walk away from it and still have my paychecks come in, I was promised that from the start
What I hadn't counted on was networking had moved to the internet and I did not know how to copy and paste!
I was determined... so I logged out a copy of Computers For Dummies at the library . I didn't help they talked about browsers and URLs and I was lost.
Thankfully had join a company that had a training all be it for $40 a month but it did teach me some basics.
This particular company also strongly suggested joining at least three of the businesses they said they had carefully chosen for the high pay outs . I wanted success so I did just that . One cost a mere $10/month , the next , was about $56, the last was about $150. Then of course you need people to talk to so they sold us leads .
I was told out of 100 leads you will usually sponsor 10 so I bought the package of 85 lead for $350
Figuring if 10 people joined me and did what I did they I would come out ahead
About this time I called a lead who was really ( now I understand what he was doing) reverse marketing me . He told me about another system to advertise in that was just getting started ( Be ware the start up !) It sounded cool so I joined that. It was supposed to cycle and pay us back
He also introduced me to a trainer who did free calls once a week and had a script book that he promised would solve all my recruiting problems ( more on that later )
In the mean time I was finding keeping up with three companies was more that I could handle. I couldn't figure out how the pay plans worked . So I ended up just promoting one. I still had to do the monthly fees of the others however
Around this time I was introduced to a chap who seemed to understand marketing and was astounded at the charge for leads. He said he could show us how to generate our own leads
Well that was pretty neat!
He started teaching us how to use Traffic exchanges. Now I was learning about browsers( I finally found out what they were LOL) I needed Mozilla Firefox or Crazy browser so i could do several at one time. That was kind of fun But not very effective for me
This is getting a bit long I will continue my learning curve next entry
