Learning to Network on the www

Well to continue my story . This new person, I will call Bob, Seemed to have a lot of answers and help for me . I really needed a mentor . So I started to work with him as often as I could
One of the first things he did was introduce me to another company
He told me ( well "us" there, by now, was quite a crew of us following him ) that he had just found a great company and should leave everything we were doing and join this new one so this meant another start up package. It was a single product company . I liked that ..but I now know that is not the best idea. Some times things happen like the government wants to check the ingredients so while they do that your business goes on hold if that is the only product
This company had a binary comp plan . I never did really understand it . But my friend Bob jumped to the top of a pay level very quickly as we all joined ( it should have been a clue) for me but I really needed a mentor and I thought I have found one
I did read the policies and procedures because I live in Canada and was had some restrictions on how we did business here . I took my concerns ( actually now I would have different concerns knowing what I know now but for the time it was pretty amazing I did that much ) o my friend and my friend said ." Oh don't pay any attention to them they are all written by the same lawyer ( which is partially true) and really don't mean any thing (WRONG!!) I will address this later in detail
I really like the product . I have health issues and it made a great difference but I was not
doing very well sponsoring people
Remember I was introduced to a trainer and by now I had her script book . I found out our Convention for the year would be in Las Vegas and She would be a guest speaker and then be holding a training the following day near by '
I was really excited . I was about to embark on the training that would save me and teach me how to sponsor .
The convention had a familiar ring to it !1 I had seen this somewhere before . Come to find out the owner of the company had been raised with parents that built a huge business in one of the companies Doug and I tried and failed at The people making the BIG money parading across the stage
It was very impressive but really just a lot of raw raw stuff
At the trainer's meeting the next day I learn I had just touched the surface.. if I was to succeed I would need to attend one of her weekend conferences and probably if I REALLY wanted success two of them AND since I might not get it all there I should plan on attending them regularly
Do you see a pattern developing here?
